The Secret on how to lead a mediocre life: The Ostrich Strategy
Take a look around, if there is no one in the room whom you aspire to become in 10 years, keep doing whatever you are doing and looking forward to the weekend (or your next vacation).
Something I learned from my teacher:
You’d better have some ego and do something in your life, rather than having no ego and do nothing at all.
It is not about getting rid of your ego, but about how to take control of it instead of being controlled by.

A former CFA charterholder and a LSE alumni, Huiwen was fortunate enough to dedicate her past career to one of the most financially and morally rewarding sectors - impact investing. Having worked in NGOs, private sectors and public sectors, she came to the realisation that money itself alone cannot help people. Searching for the answers to the “whys” and her ultimate life purpose, she decided to resign and embark on a self-discovery journey. She finally realised that all chaos in her life resulted from her own ego. These events led her to the realisation that the only way to change the world is to change ourselves, our own consciousness, and only by activating our own inner power, can we overcome the negative force within and become a positive contributor to the world.
